Officials of Srinagar said that acting of specific inputs, security forces started a search operation in the upper areas of Dachhigam. The operation turned into a gunfight when terrorists fired at the search team.
The security forces fired back, and one terrorist killed in the exchange, according to the Army in Srinagar ‘s Dachhigam.
Dachhigam, a national park located in the outskirts of Srinagar, covers the area of about 141 square kilometers.

The terrorist killed in an encounter with security forces has been identified as a local Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander who was involved in the October 20 attack at a tunnel construction site in Ganderbal that killed a doctor and six migrant workers,โ indiatoday reported.
Earlier on November 23, Baramulla Police, along with security forces, uncovered a terror hideout in the Kunzer area of Baramulla district, Jammu and Kashmir. During the search operation police recovered arms and ammunition were recovered, and the hideout was destroyed.
