Locals reported the incident in Lakhipur Police, following the report police swiftly reached the spot, recovered the severed cow head. Residents of Khakilamari Daspara, located in Ward No. 10 under the Lakhipur Municipality, stated that this is not the first time that such incident took place. In the past, cow legs and other body parts have reportedly been found near Hindu homes and temples in the locality. This repeated pattern has fueled suspicions of a planned provocation aimed at creating communal discord.

Senior Officials Visit the Site
Dr. Kashyap Prakash, Director of APDCL (Assam Power Distribution Company Limited), visited the scene to take stock of the situation. He met with law enforcement and community leaders, urging the district administration to act swiftly and impartially in the investigation.
He stated, “After Dhubri, beef was placed at a sacred Kali Mandir at Kakilamari village at Lakhipur, Goalpara. After learning the same, I rushed to the mandir to take stock of the situation. This desecration of our places of worship will NOT be allowed and the perpetrators will not be spared. My interaction with the media.”
Police Urge Calm Amid Rising Tensions
Senior police officials, including the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), have appealed to the public to maintain calm and cooperate with the investigation. Authorities assured the public that the incident is being handled with the highest level of seriousness and that no effort will be spared in delivering justice.
