On 30 June, Sribhumi Police managed to seized Rs,6 crore worth heroin and also arrested three drug peddler from the Lapool area under Nilambazar Police Station.
Based on incredible inputs, Sribhumi police launched an operation in the Lalpool area led by Senior Superintendent of Police Partha Protim Das. In the area a vehicle bearing registration number TR-01M-2262 intercepted and recovered 76 soap cases heroin from the secret chamber. The boxes containing 870g of heroin.
The vehicle was reportedly coming from the Champai district of Mizoram.

Police managed to arrest three individual named Sahel Alom Laskar (19), a resident of Joshnapar under Lala Police Station, Hailakandi; Ifitar Ahemdabad Laskar (20), a resident of Hati Sijubari, Bishnu Jyoti Rabha Path under Hatigaon Police and Sabbir Ahmed (24) a resident of Defolala Under Patharkandi Police Station.
Further investigation is going on, and SSP Partha Pratim Das informed that legal procedures have been initiated to trace both forward and backward linkage of drugs supply chain.
