A shocking incident took place in Dikom’s Pomatoli tea state, Dibrugarh where a woman burnt alive while sleeping on Sunday night.
The incident took place when fire broke out inside a house located in the tea-state. The victim woman identified as Sumoti Bhuyan. She was engulfed in flames of fire and burned to death while she was sleeping.
The victim’s husband, Suresh Bhuyan also injured seriously in the fire and has been taken and admitted to Assam Medical College Hospital in Dibrugarh for treatment.
After the incident police went the spot and started investigating the incident. The exact cause of the fire is not known yet.
