All the six missing Meitei people who went missing after the violence erupted in Jiribam District of Manipur, their dead bodies were recovered from Barak River and sent to SMCH. Silchar Medical College and Hospital has been under high security after the dead bodies brought to it.
On November 15 Friday, Three dead bodies found in Barak River at Jirimukh, Jiribam under Manipur police jurisdiction. This dead body brought to Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) by Manipur police along with Assam Rifles and other security forces for post mortem.
According to information, this dead bodies had discovered by locals in Barak River at Jirimukh. Among these three bodies, two believed to be minors and one woman. While it has confirmed that the dead bodies were among the six missing Meitei, who had abducted during violence.
Today, in the wee hours another three dead bodies sent to Silchar Medical College and Hospital. This three dead bodies also found from the Barak River upstream, Jirimukh in Jiribam, Manipur. The three recovered body also among the six missing Meitei.
This is confirmed that all the six bodies were the missing people who had abducted from Jiribam district. The name of the people are: Yurembam Rani Devi (60), Telam Thobai Devi (31), Telam Thajamanbi Devi (25) and Laishram Langamba Singh (8 Month).
Violence Erupted in Jiribam, Manipur
On November 7, a violation erupted in Zairawn Hmar village of Jiribam where 21 houses torched and a tribal female teacher, burnt alive in her residents. After the incident on November 11, followed by a gun fight between Kuki militants and security forces, where 10 militants killed. These 10 militant dead bodies remain at SMCH, as Manipur await for DNA matching.
One the same day of the incident six Meitei residents, abducted from refuge camp. This missing residents dead bodies found in Barak River upstream at Jirmukh.
Now, Security Forces has been monitoring the region to prevent any violence in Cachar.
