Silchar Police Successfully seized Rs.45 Lakh worth Gold in Ramnagar Bypass, and also arrested a smuggler from Manipur.
Based on secret information, police launched an operation in Ramnagar Bypass under Silchar Police Station area, from where police intercepted a man. During search operation, police managed to seized three Gold biscuit weighing 439 grams. The estimate value of the seized items would be Rs.45 Lakh.
One individual arrested, identified as Khamneu Munlua (32) from Churachandpur, Manipur.
Authorities confirmed that the Gold biscuit has transported from Manipur. Further investigation is going on.
Cachar SSP Numal Mahatta stated, “Based on special inputs, an operation launched in Silchar Ramnagar Bypass. During operation a man has intercepted. From the man we managed to recovered three suspected gold biscuit. The weight of the three gold biscuit 439 grams, the market price would be at around Rs.45 Lakh. One individual arrested named Khamneu Munlua.”
