Due to ongoing heatwave at the region of Assam State, Cachar and Hailakandi office of district magistrate has released a notice where they issued a guidelines for schools and change the timings of school.
The issued guidelines will effective from 21st September 2024, directing all the private and state and central government schools, to take special precautions to protect students from the increasing heat.
According to notice, in Cachar district the school will start from 7.30 am and will get over before or at 12.30 am.
The guidelines measures in the Cachar district Schools are:
- All the Head of the institutions should ensure that morning assemblies are conducted inside the classrooms.
- School should ensure that the students should drink sufficient water and ensure that enough drinking water facility inside the school.
- Students should be advised not to wear waistcoats or ties
- School should ensure that all the fans are functional and all classroom are properly ventilated
- In case of power cuts alternate power backups must arranged
According to Hailakandi Notice for schools :
All Schools in Hailakandi will Start from 7.30 am. LP. School will end at 12:15 pm, UP School will end at 12:45 pm and High school/ Higher school will end on 1:45 pm.
