Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Assam, apprehended a head teacher of 1148 Azad LP School, Bagirkhola, Sribhumi for accepting bribe on December 11, 2024.
The arrested head teacher identified as Sushanta Nath. He was caught red-handed for accepting bribe near the immersion ghat in Shribhumi (formerly known as Karimganj).
According to corruption team, Nath caught red-handed immediately after he accepting bribe from complainant in exchange for facilitating the completion of Modified Assured Career Program Scheme (MACPS) work.
Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Assam stated through X, “Today, a team of Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-corruption, Assam trapped red handed Sushanta Nath, Head teacher of 1148 Azad LP School, Bagirkhola, Dist-Sribhumi immediately after accepted bribe near immersion ghat, Sribhumi from the complainant for getting his MACPS work done.”
They added, “Today Corrupt inspection and removal Sanchalkal, Assam, headmaster Sushant Nath of 1148 Azad Primary School of Sribhumi district, was conducted hand-to-hand at the immersion ghat of Sribhumi city during the implementation of MACPS.”
Further investigation is going on.
