On Saturday night, a car accident took place, where a man died in Diyahijhori (Rayapara) area under the Balajan Outpost, Kokrajhar.
The died man identified as Regent Basumatary, an employee of the State Bank of India (SBI).
According to reports, Basumatary’s car, bearing the registration number AS 16 J 6008, plunged into a pond during the night. The car and the driver remained underwater until they were found the next morning.
The local authorities, identified the victim as Regent Basumatary. But they did not find the exact cause behind the accident.
Further investigation is going on.
