A massive train accident reported in Russia ’s Komi region on Wednesday. In this accident a total of 9 coaches derailed causing the train overturn. At around 70 people injured who was presents in this train.
According to ABC News reports, 2 people killed and one person left missing in Russia Train accident.
The accident train 511 was travelling between Vorkuta in north-eastern Komi, above Artic Circle and the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk.
According to railway authorities the incident took place at around 6:12 pm of June 26, near the town of Inta. The Russian Railways said that a total of 232 people was on the train. The train has 14 coaches out of it 9 overturn and accident took place.
The exact cause of the accident did not know. The cause of the accident is suspected to be linked with Heavy rainfall in the region. After the incident came into light, emergency services and medical teams went to the scene for relief and rescue operation.
Russian Railways has formed a task force to investigate the accident led by general director.
Russian Railways has promised to pay 2 million rubles (just under $22,900) to the families of those killed in the derailment, in addition to the 2.025 million rubles (about $23,100) insurance payout. Injured passengers who, hospitalized will receive 1 million rubles (about $11,400) each, and those who sought outpatient medical assistance will get 500,000 rubles (about $5,700), the company said.
