Four Dead in Tinsukia After Car Falls into Under-Construction Culvert and Road accident took place
A tragic accident took place on Tinsukia-Dibrugarh bypass in early hours of Tuesday, where four people died and two people injured.
According to reports, a vehicle carrying 6 family members, including 7 years old minor, plunged into a under-construction. The incident took place on the bypass connecting Dihingia Gaon along the Tinsukia-Dibrugarh route at around 4 am. According to law enforcement from the Panitola Outpost, the car went off the bridge after hitting a pothole.
In this incident four family members died and two injured, who critically injured and immediately rushed to the Assam Medical College in Dibrugarh. This family members were travelling from Bihar to Tinsikua to attend a wedding.
The deceased identified as Mohan Shah, Rajesh Gupta, Montu Shah, and a child, Artha Gupta—all are residents of Bihar. Further details are awaited.
Local residents quickly started a rescue operation, helping the injured to the hospital. They blamed the poor road conditions for the accident and urged authorities to speed up the bypass construction to avoid more accidents.
