The Assam Government has announced today, that new application has started to added new beneficiaries for Ration Card. Under the National Food Security Act, 5.04 lakh new beneficiaries are to add, 4,000 per newly created legislative constituency. Eligible individuals are invited to apply.

Who are eligible to apply Ration Card?
Indian Citizen with Annual Family of less than Rs 4 lakh annual family income
The eldest woman of a family who is a bonafide citizen of this country with an annual family income of less than Rs.4,00,000/-
In the absence of an adult female member in the family, the eldest male person may apply for the same.
Muster Roll employee under State Govt, Daily wage earner, Retired Grade IV employee, Contractual employee under Central/State Govt with income below ₹4 lakh

Forms available at Food, Public Distribution & Consumer Affairs branch in all districts/Co-Districts and online at http://pds.assam.gov.in
Completed application form (Form ‘C’) along with copies of required documents to be submitted to the office of the Gaon Panchayat/concerned Municipality/Municipal Corporation or in the Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs branch in the district/co-district.
