Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha: State declared Public Holiday on January 22

The 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is going to take place on January 22. The Department of Personnel and Training on Thursday announced that all the central government offices will remain closed for half day on January 22 for the event of Ram Mandir inauguration.

The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is going to take place on January 22. For this many states or central governments has declared it a public holiday or half-day holiday in honour of this historic Hindu event. As it is a historic event. The ceremony will perform by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. Many School will remain close across the country in various state as because government has declared holiday.

More than 7000 will be present in the ceremony. Many celebrities, actor, actress, politician and their families will be present there to be eyewitness of the big event

Ram Temple door of Ayodhya will remain closed for public till January 22. The forth day ritual of Pre Pran Pratishtha has began.

The idol of Lord Ram has arrived at the temple on Wednesday night. It is currently maintained inside the sanctum sanctorum but has not yet been installed.

Department of Personnel and Training has declared the Holiday on the date of Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha

The Department of Personnel and Training on Thursday announced that all the central government offices will remain closed for half day on January 22 for the event of Ram Mandir inauguration. In this day Ram Lalla idol Pran Pratistha will be take place at Ram Mandir Ayodhya.

The DOPT order said, โ€œThe Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha at Ayodhya will be celebrated on January 22, 2024 across India. To enable employees to participate in the celebrations, it has been decided that all central government offices, central institutions and central industrial establishments throughout India will be closed for half day till 14:30 hours on January 22,”.

The order shall be apply to the public sector banks, insurance companies, schools, financial institution and many others to enable the employes of the sector could participate in the Ram Mandir Ayodhyaโ€™s Ram Lalla idol Pran Pratistha celebrations. This said after a Notification came from the Finance Minister on Thursday.

Many states have already declared the half day holiday or full day holiday in the date of Ram Mandir inauguration.

The list of the States are:

Tripura:

All government offices and educational institutions in Tripura will closed until 2:30 p.m. on January 22 to allow personnel to participate in the Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha celebrations in Ayodhya, officials said. The order was issued by Asim Sahai, Tripura’s Deputy Secretary.

Uttar Pradesh:

Uttar Pradesh state has declared to remain close all educational institute and liquor shops throughout the state on 22 January 2024. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had declared in an official statement as the Concentration ceremony of Ram Lalla idol of Ram Mandir Ayodhya is going to take place.

Chhattisgarh:

Chhattisgarh government has announced an official holiday on 22 January for all the educational sector. All government office will remain closed till 2.30 pm so that they can participate in the Pran Pratistha ceremony of Ram Lalla idol of Ram Mandir. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai announced this on Thursday. State Minister Brimohan Agrawal also announced this. He also announced a weekly train in Ayodhya.

Assam:

The Assam government proclaimed a half-holiday on January 22 to commemorate the dedication ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. On January 22, all state government offices and educational institutions in the state will be closed until 2.30 p.m. due to a half-holiday. The Government also declared Dry Day on this day.

Goa:

Goa also declared holiday in the state on 22 January as special holiday in light of the Pran Pratistha ceremony at Ram Janmabhoomi Ayodhya in Ram Mandir. The Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has officially announced the holiday.

Haryana:

The Haryana government has announced that schools would close on January 22 to commemorate the Ram Temple Inauguration. Liquor consumption will prohibite throughout the state on the day of the consecration ceremony.

Odisha:

All Odisha government offices will remain close for a half-day on January 22 to commemorate the Ram temple dedication ceremony in Ayodhya. “In view of Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha at Ayodhya, the government of Odisha has pleased to declare that the state government offices, as well as the revenue and magisterial courts (executive), will remain closed for half a day till 2.30 pm on January 22, 2024 (Monday).”

Rajasthan:

The Government of Rajasthan on Thursday declared half-day holiday on January 22 for Ayodhya Ram Mandirโ€™s Ram Lalla idol Pran Pratistha Ceremony. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has announced the holiday at the Legislature Party meeting, which took place on Thursday night at the party’s headquarters.

Gujrat:

All the government offices in Gujarat will remain close for a half-day on January 22 to celebrate the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, officials announced on Friday. The state administration sent a letter late Thursday night stating that offices will close until 2.30 p.m. on January 22.

Madhya Pradesh:

The Government of Madhya Pradesh has declared a school holiday on January 22 to encourage the people to celebrate the Pran Pratistha ceremony of Ram Mandir as festival. Additionally, the Government also declared the day as Dry Day. The liquor shops and Bhag outlets will remain closed.
