Telegu Actor Allu Arjun arrested today in connection with the Hyderabad theater Stampede case where a woman died and her son critically injured.
The incident took place on December 4, where the premiere show of ‘Pushpa 2: The rule’ has taken place in Sandhya 70 mm theater. The family of the woman filed a case against the Sandhya theater management, the actor and security team.
According to information the stampede broke out after Allu Arjun made unscheduled appearance at the theatre showing his new film.
The actor has taken by police from his Jubilee hills home to the Chikkadpally Police Station. He has apprehended in the present of his father Allu Arvind, a well known filmmaker and other family member.
On December 11, he approached the Telangana High Court, requesting the case against him to be dismissed.
Charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder and voluntarily causing hurt filed against him.
The investigation will now focus on two key questions: Did Mr. Arjun have police permission to attend the special screening of his movie Pushpa 2: The Rule at the theatre? And, did he have permission to interact with fans outside the theatre, located in an area with other cinema halls?

On December 4, a woman died, and her son critically injured in a stampede at a theater during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule in Hyderabad. The incident happened around 10 pm at Sandhya 70 mm theater near RTC Cross Roads in Musheerabad.
The premiere held in several theaters, including Sandhya 70 mm. Around 10:30 pm, the situation turned chaotic when Allu Arjun and the film’s team arrived at the theater. Thousands of fans rushed in to catch a glimpse of him, leading to a stampede outside.
Amid the chaos, a family standing near the theater door—a 39-year-old woman, her husband, son, and daughter—caught in the crowd. While the husband and daughter managed to escape, the woman pushed down and lost her life, while her son suffered serious injuries.
