Punjabi Instagram influencer Kamal Kaur Babhi found dead inside a locked car on Wednesday night (June11). Punjab police launched a murder investigation after the dead body was found near Adesh Medical University in Bathinda.
Who is Kamal Kaur?
The real name of Kamal Kaur is Kanchan Kumari, but in social media she was known as Kamal Kaur Babhi. She had 3.82 lakh follower in Instagram social media handle.
Kaur usually share regular content, reels and often face criticism for bold photos and videos. She lived with her mother and two brother and two sisters.
Punjabi Influencer body Found
Punjabi social media influencer Kamal Kaur was found dead inside a parked car near a university along the Bathinda-Chandigarh highway.
Locals alerted police after they notice a foul smell coming from the car, which had parked there for an hour. When the police arrived and checked the vehicle, they discovered the body of a woman believed to be around 30 to 35 years old. It was later confirmed to be Kamal Kaur.

The car was registered in Ludhiana, where Kamal lived. Investigators suspect she may have been murdered elsewhere and then left in the car at the current location.
Kaur had left from her home on June 10 in the morning. Her phone was active until night of June 10, as per police report.
Senior police officials, including SSP Amneet Kondal and SP City Narinder Singh, said a murder case is being filed. A forensic team has joined the investigation to gather more evidence. Kamal’s family has been notified about the tragic news.
Kaur was well known on social media, and the news of her death has left fans and the local community shocked. Police are working to find out what exactly happened, who was behind it, and why.
