Pune Road Accident: Two Killed After Porsche Hits Motorcycle in Kalyaninagar

In the early hours of Sunday, a man and a woman were killed after a luxury Porsche car collided with their two-wheeler in the Kalyaninagar area of Pune, according to police reports. The Police received a call about the accident near Ballr Pub around 3:00 AM. Pune City Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar had previously mandated that bars, pubs, restaurants, and rooftop hotels close by 1:00 AM.

The driver of the car, a minor and the son of a prominent real estate developer Vishal Agarwal, owner of the construction company Brahma Ralty and Infrastructure has detained by police.

“We have detained the minor for medical examination to ascertain if he had consumed alcohol,” stated Pune City Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar Magar.

A video of the aftermath went viral on social media, showing bystanders stopping the driver as he tried to flee the scene. The bystanders, visibly angry, seen thrashing him before handing him over to the police. This incident has sparked significant outrage in the community, highlighting issues of road safety and responsible driving.

The deceased identified as Anees Avadhya and Ashwini Costa. They were returning from a restaurant when the Porsche struck their motorcycle from behind, resulting in their instant deaths. The collision severe, and both victims pronounced dead at the scene.

An FIR has registered against the accused at Yerawada Police Station. The deceased friend Ekib Ramzan Mulla has filed the FIR.
