Post-Matric Scholarship 2025 for OBC Students has started online application from 1st July and will continue till 30 September. Eligible student may apply for scholarship within end date of application. The students who are in graduate, Class 11, 12, post graduate can apply.
Post-Matric Scholarship 2025 for OBC
The Government of India has launched the Post-Matric Scholarship for students belongs to OBC, EBC and DNT for the poor people to gross enrollment ratio of higher studies. Students will be provided financial assistance at post-matriculation or post-secondary stage. The scholarship is available for the Indian students only.
Objective of the Scholarship
The main aim of the Post-Matric Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to the OBC, EBC and DNT student who are poor and to help them for higher studies, those who are unable to complete their education.
SCOPE
These scholarships shall be available for studies in India only and will awarded by the Government of State/Union Territory to which the applicant actually belongs, i.e. permanently settled.

Post-Matric Scholarship 2025 for OBC Students: Eligibility Criteria
Only Indian Students are Eligible
Students should be belonged to OBCs, EBCs and DNTs, as notified by the Central Govt./State Govt./ UT Admin.
The Students should have domicile certificate of the state
Students belong to
- Group 1: Degree and Post Graduate level professional courses
- Group 2: Other professional courses leading to Degree, Diploma, Cerificate
- Group 3: Graduate and Post Graduate
- Group 4: All post-matriculation (Post class 10 level) non-degree courses
Students studying in XI Class of the Higher Secondary School courses or the XII class of the Multipurpose High School will not be eligible for it being a continuous school course.
The Students, who pursue their studies through correspondence/online courses, are also eligible. The term correspondence includes distant and continuous education for courses in Central/ State Universities only
Only two boys of the same parents/guardian will be entitled to receive scholarships. This restriction will, however, not apply to girls.
Only Institution/Colleges with AISHE Code/UDISE Code shall be eligible for scholarship scheme
Scholarship will paid to the students whose parents/guardian income will Rs 2.50 lakh.

All eligible students shall entitled to take admission in the institutions without prepayment of tuition fees and hostel fees as per the Scheme Guidelines. To enable this, a FREESHIP CARD will be issued by the State Government to the eligible students, as per procedure detailed below.

How to Apply
Students applying the scholarship schemes must register on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) using the “NSP OTR” app (available on Google Play Store). You must complete face authentication to generate your OTR number, which is mandatory for applying. Visit https://scholarships.gov.in for more details.
You must have an Aadhaar card and a mobile number linked with Aadhaar to generate the OTR.
If you are a minor applicant without Aadhaar, your parent’s Aadhaar will required.
Make sure to enter only active bank account details to receive the scholarship. The scholarship will disbursed through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) mode.
All schools and institutions must ensure that students applying for admission also apply for the scholarship through the IT portal on the same day they are admitted.
In case of renewal students, the student shall auto-renewed based on the attendance and confirmation from the institution of the student having promoted to the next class and having joined back the same course as hosteller/day scholar, as the case may be.
Selection of the Students
All the eligible OBC/EBC/DNT candidates will given scholarships subject to the condition of eligibility prescribed in the Scheme, Candidates belonging to one State, but studying in another State, will awarded scholarship by the State to which they belong and will submit their applications to the competent authorities in that State.
