The truck driver Abhijit Shobdokar, who killed Assam Police constable Ujjal Bora, was shot by police during crime scene reconstruction on late night Saturday.
According to reports, during the reconstruction exercise in the crime scene the truck driver attempted to flee after seizing a rifle from one of the officers. Despite a warning shot fired into the air, Shobdokar resisted police orders. He also refused to comply, so police officers fire another shot, which injured him in the leg.
After the incident he was arrested and immediately took him to the Silchar Medical College and Hospital for treatment. Further investigation is going on to the case.
Abhijit Shobdokar on December 14, rammed truck into the constable Ujjal Bora during intercepted his truck at the Churaibari check point, near Tripura-Assam Border. In which the constable died. On last night Police brought the truck driver to the crime scene for the crime reconstruction when the shooting incident occurred.
Police also found huge amount of Yaba Tablets from the Truck after searching the truck.
