Assam Police arrested man on November 29 for allegedly assaulting a woman warder in Dhubri District Jail. The accused identified as Krishna Barman, husband of a female warder.
According to reports, the accused, Krishna Barman was taken to custody at midnight after a complain has been logged by the complainant, Dipshikha Rajbanshi. In her statement, Rajbanshi alleges that the assault occurred while she was on duty at the jail.
The FIR also mentions the involvement of an inmate and Dhubri district jail superintendent, adding complexity to the investigation.
In response to the allegation, police arrest the accused and launched an investigation to uncover all the details of the incident. Police also ensure justice for the victim.
