Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Assam on September 8, where he will participate in three key government programmes, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Thursday. Detailed information about the visit will be revealed in the coming days.

Before heading to Assam, PM Narendra Modi will visit Bihar and West Bengal on July 18 (Friday) to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for a host of development projects worth over ₹12,000 crore.

In Bihar, the Prime Minister will address a public meeting in Motihari at 11:30 a.m., unveiling or launching initiatives valued at over ₹7,200 crore. These include Software Technology Parks, major road infrastructure projects, and the introduction of four new Amrit Bharat trains.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi shared, “Tomorrow, July 18, I am eagerly looking forward to being among the people of West Bengal. In Durgapur, at an event, I will lay the foundation stone for several projects in the fields of oil, gas, electricity, railways, and roads, and also inaugurate several projects with investments exceeding 5000 crore rupees.”

Later in the day, PM Modi will travel to Durgapur in West Bengal, where he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for projects worth over ₹5,000 crore. These projects span across critical sectors such as oil and gas, power, railways, and road development.

In another post on X, he stated, “West Bengal is suffering due to the misrule of Trinamool. People are looking towards BJP with great hope and are confident that only BJP can bring development. Tomorrow, July 18, I will speak at a @BJP4Bengal public meeting in Durgapur. Join us!”

PM Modi also took the opportunity to criticise the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) government in West Bengal, alleging widespread misgovernance. He claimed the people of the state are looking toward the BJP for development and change.
