What is PM Internship Scheme?
Prime Minister Internship Scheme, which aims to provide internship opportunities to the one crore youth of India in top 500 Companies. Among the Top companies Reliance, Tata, ONGC, HDFC are there. Through the scheme youth get a chance to experience real business environments in different sectors, helping them learn important skills and gain work experience.
Eligibility Criteria for PM Internship Scheme
Educational Qualification: Candidate who have passed class 10, class 12 or B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, B.Pharma, etc, or hold a diploma of Polytechnical or a certificate from an ITI can apply for PM Internship Scheme.
Age Limit:
Candidate between 21 and 24 can apply.
Nationality: Indian
Employment Status: Not Employed full-time
Not engaged Full-time education candidate can apply
Benefits from PM Internship Scheme 2025:
Monthly assistance: Monthly assistance of Rs 5,000 will be paid to interns for the duration of 12 month
One Time Grants: A one-time grant for incidentals of Rs 6,000 will be Distributed to each intern by the Government through Direct Benefit Transfer.
Training Cost: Companies will cover intern training expenses from CSR funds as per rules.
Administrative Cost: Up to 5% of CSR expenditure under this scheme can be used for administrative expenses.
Insurance Coverage: Interns will get insurance under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, with premiums paid by the Government. Companies may offer extra accidental insurance if desired.
