A Road accident took place in the November 2, morning after losing control the bus went off the National Highway and fell into roadside ditch in Karimganj.
The incident took place in Baithakal area of Patharkandi, Karimganj that left more than twenty passengers injured. The bus was travelling from Rengmati, near Assam-Mizoram border to Karimganj.
The local authorities and emergency services promptly arrived at the scene. Emergency Services went with JCB vehicle, worked swiftly and free passengers trapped inside the overturned bus.
All the injured passenger were sent to Hospital for treatment. Further investigation is going on.
According to eye witnessed, the accident happened due to driver negligence, as the driver was driving and controlling the bus with one hand, while holding a mobile phone in the other.
