A Shocking murder incident took place in Cachar, where a one-year-old boy was allegedly killed by uncle on July 30, afternoon.
According to information, the murder incident took place in the Doyapore Tea Garden area of Udharbond in Cachar district. At around 12 noon at Atoichorabasti, the incident occurred.
The victim, identified as Abhijit Rikiason (1), was the son of Shankar Rikiason, a resident of Atoichorabasti. Police have arrested Gandhi Rikiason, the cousin of Shankar, in connection with the crime.
According to eyewitnesses, Shankar and his wife were at work when the tragedy occurred. Gandhi, who lives next door, reportedly entered their home, locked the door, and brutally slit the child’s throat.
Local villagers revealed that Gandhi and Shankar had a recent fight. Though the exact cause is unknown, neighbors suspect Gandhi may have killed the child out of revenge.
A large number of police personnel have been deployed in the area as investigations are underway.
