A tragic road accident occurred on Friday morning near at Nilambazar, Karimganj, where one man lost his life, and five others sustained injuries. Among the injured are a 4-year-old child and a woman.
According to reports, the accident happened when an auto-rickshaw collided head-on with a Mahindra Maxx vehicle. The auto-rickshaw was heading towards Karimganj when it crashed into the Maxx.
The incident took place near the Nilambazar College area on the National Highway in Karimganj.
The deceased has been identified as Kamal Uddin, a resident of Hailakandi. The injured were rushed to Karimganj Civil Hospital by local residents for treatment.
Karimganj police arrived at the scene immediately after the accident.
Further investigating is going on to determine the exact cause of the collision.
