A Shocking Incident Took place in Odisha, which is unimaginable incident. A 15-year-old girl was set fire by three unidentified youth in Puri district of Odisha on May 19 morning. The incident has shocked the locals and also made to think about the safety of woman.

After the incident the girl was immediately rushed by locals to the Pipli Hospital in Puri and has subsequently sifted to AIIMS, Bhubaneshwar. According to the statement of the hospital, the girl was admitted with approximately 70% of the total body surfaced burn.

The three unidentified accused youth fled from the scene after the incident.

According to reports, the incident took place at Bayabar village in Balanga police station area at around 9 am when she was on her way to friends house.

According to preliminary investigation, the three unidentified youths on a motorcycle intercepted the victim, forcibly took her to the banks of the Bhargavi River, doused her with a flammable substance, and set her ablaze, a police officer stated.

Local people doused the fire and took her immediately to the Pipli Hospital in Puri from where she has subsequently sifted to AIIMS, Bhubaneshwar.

Deputy CM of Odisha stated, “I am saddened and shocked to hear the news that a fifteen-year-old girl was set on fire by some miscreants on the road in Balanga district. The girl has been immediately shifted to AIIMS Hospital, Bhubaneswar and all arrangements are being made for her treatment. All the expenses of the treatment will be borne by the government.

The police administration has been directed to arrest the culprit immediately and take strong action.”

Investigation Underway On Odisha Horror incident

Scientific teams are currently assisting in the investigation of the brutal attack, but no arrests or detentions have been made so far, according to the Superintendent of Police.

Pipili Sub-divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Debasish Mishra confirmed that the victim sustained severe burn injuries on her back, abdomen, and other parts of her body.

“Two dedicated teams have been formed to track down the attackers. We are examining footage from CCTV cameras installed in nearby private residences to gather evidence,” Mishra stated.

Puri District Collector Chanchal Rana emphasized the seriousness of the case, stating that the administration has directed the police to take immediate and decisive action.
