21 years old, third year student of National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJA) in Guwahati, found dead in hostel room on the morning of June 18.
The dead body of the student discovered hanging by his friend at around 10:14 am after repeated attempts to contact him failed. The dead student originally from Hyderabad.
No Suicide Note Recovered from the student in Guwahati
Fellow students became concerned and eventually forced the door open, only to find their classmate unresponsive. Authorities confirmed that no suicide note was found at the scene.
Sources close to the investigation revealed that the student had been undergoing counselling sessions and was on prescribed medication at the time of his death. However, the exact circumstances leading to the incident remain unclear.
The student’s parents, upon being informed, reached Guwahati later that afternoon. The university has expressed its cooperation with the ongoing investigation and is considering counselling and support services for students impacted by the loss.

The local police have launched a full investigation into the incident. With no direct evidence pointing to the cause of death, officials are exploring all possible angles.
