The Mukhya Mantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan Scheme aims to empower around 40 lakh women Self-Help Group (SHG) members, transforming them into Rural Micro Entrepreneurs or “Lakhpati Baideos.” The objective is to guarantee an annual income of โ‚น1 lakh for each participant, fostering economic independence and sustainable livelihoods among women.

The Assam government has sanctioned the Mukhya Mantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan, a venture dedicated to empowering female entrepreneurs in rural areas. Administered by the Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ASRLM), this initiative aims to offer financial assistance to women in rural regions, promoting self-sufficiency and economic autonomy.

The woman members of the SHG Group can apply for the Scheme. The apply for the scheme will available through nearest Panchayat Office where you will get form of free of cost. The scheme will start from 16 January.

Eligibility Criteria of Mukhya Mantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan Scheme

Those who will want to apply for the MukhyaMantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan Scheme they need see the eligibility criteria

  • Should not have more than 3 Children (for General and OBC benificiaries)
  • Should not have more than 4 children (for SC/ST/Moran/Matak/Tea-tribesโ€™ benificiaries)
  • SHG member having girl child should enrol her/them in school if they have attained the age
  • The trees planted under Amrit Brikshay Andolan should be surviving
  • Submit a business plan to avail the grant (plan to be prepared and supported by Government)

Application Process for the Mukhya Mantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan Scheme

  • Forms of the scheme will be available at nearest Panchayat Office free of cost
  • Forms have to collected on specified date only. No photostat will accepted
  • Submit two Sankalp Patras: Female child enrolled in school; restricting number of children as specified.

Benefits of the Scheme

  • In the first year, each eligible member receives โ‚น10,000 upon meeting criteria.
  • Over the two years, a combined sum of โ‚น25,000 is provided, with โ‚น12,500 from the government and โ‚น12,500 from the bank.
  • The bank loan is repayable, while the government assistance is non-refundable.
  • A total of โ‚น35,000 is distributed over three years to support eligible women in their journey to become “Lakhpati Baideos.”
