Massive fire broke out in Silapathar, Dhemaji in early mornings of Sunday at around 5:30 am, which causes extensive damage of home and business establishment.
The fire spread quickly, which caused extensive damaged, with the properties losses estimated to be in lakhs, though officials believe it could be crores.
The fire blazes affected destroyed various properties, including a tire warehouse and 10 other businesses, hitting local commerce hard.
Despite the quick response of Fire brigade and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team and worked hard to control the fire, but many properties were completely destroyed before the flames could be contained.
Further investigation is going on as the cause of fire is not known yet.
