A Massive fire broke out at a house in Silchar Road area of Sribhumi (Karimganj) district of Assam on January 20 at around 8:45 am.
According to reports, the fire broke out at the house of Ganga Das. It is suspected that the fire started from kitchen room. The fire gutted the house into ashes. No casualties reported.
Three Fire tenders rushed to the scene and after an hour they took control over the fire. The SDRF team also arrived at the scene. It is said that the amount of damage caused by the fire will be several lakhs
One local residents stated that the house in which fire broke is belongs to Ganga Das. When we known about the fire we rushed at the scene. Two room of the house has gutted into fire completely. The house is very old.
He also stated that the SDRF team has arrived at the scene immediately after they were informed and took control over the fire.
