A heinous crime took place in Kolkata, where a 24 years old female law student gang raped inside a guardroom of South Calcutta Law College. The victim filed an FIR on 26 June a day after the incident.
On Friday Kolkata Police arrested three men, a prominent student leader of the Trinamool Congress Chhatra Parishad (TMCP) and two current students for gang raped the victim. The accused, identified as Monojit Mishra, Zaib Ahmed and Pramit Mukherjee.
Kolkata Police stated that A medical examination has confirmed the woman’s allegations, showing evidence of forced penetration along with bite marks and scratch injuries.
As per police report, Pramit allegedly raped the woman while the other two stood guard outside the room.

According to the FIR accessed, the female survivor in the Kolkata college sexual assault case has accused three individuals—Monojit Mishra (31), a staff member, and students Zaib Ahmed (19) and Pramit Mukherjee (20)—of sexually assaulting, threatening, and blackmailing her on the college premises.
The survivor stated that on the day of the incident, around 6:10 PM, everything seemed normal as people began leaving for the day. One of the accused allegedly asked her to stay back, took her aside, and proposed marriage, claiming he had feelings for her.
Soon after, according to the FIR, the accused instructed the other two to step out and lock the room. “In a matter of seconds, he dragged me near the washroom and tried to force himself on me,” she said. She claimed she pleaded with him to let her go and even touched his feet, but he refused to listen.
The survivor alleged that the main accused directed the other two to move her into the guard’s room and make the security guard sit outside. Inside the room, she was allegedly confined and repeatedly assaulted between 7:30 PM and 10:50 PM.
The accused threaten to killed Boyfriend and parents arrested
“He threatened to kill my boyfriend and have my parents arrested if I spoke up,” she said in her complaint. She further stated that the accused recorded the assault on his phone and used the footage to blackmail her, showing her videos of herself naked and threatening to circulate them if she did not comply with future demands.
The FIR also details how the accused attempted to hit her with a hockey stick. “I just lay there like a dead body,” she said, describing the trauma. After the assault ended, she left the room around 10:05 PM. The accused reportedly warned her not to tell anyone.
Police stated that the three accused confined the woman in a guard room located on the ground floor of the college building, where the alleged assault occurred between 7:30 PM and 10:50 PM.
The survivor informed her parents later that night, and a formal police complaint was filed the following day. Investigators have since seized the mobile phones of the accused and sent them for forensic examination.

The Three Accused of Kolkata Law Student Gang Raped case
The Prime accused Monojit Mishra, 31 a former unit president of TMCP at the college an alumnus. He was arrested near an area of college campus with co-accused Zaib Ahmed, a first year student.
He is from a middle class Benali family. Sources within the college revealed that Monojit Mishra wielded considerable informal influence on campus and frequently acted as a link between students and local political leaders. His name had previously come up in complaints related to campus indiscipline and intimidation, but no formal action was ever taken against him. The third accused, Pramit Mukherjee (20), a second-year student and local resident, was arrested from his residence on Thursday. Police also seized mobile phones from both Zaib and Pramit for forensic examination.
