Karimganj Police on August 17, conducted an anti-narcotics operation in the area of Karimganj, where they managed to seized 20,000 Yaba Tablet and arrested a person in connection of it.
On August 17, Based on tip off, a team of Karimganj Police has launched an operation in the area of Solgoi Bazar and caught the person near Petrol Pump of Dengarbond village.
After searching the person, police recovered 20,000 Yaba Tablet. The arrested person is identified as Abdul Hussain of Baroigram.
The seized items market value would be Rs.2 Crore.
The operation is a part of Assam Police’s ongoing efforts to achieve a drug-free Assam.
Further investigation is going on.

He stated, “Based on credible intelligence, @karimganjpolice conducted an anti-narcotics operation in Dengarbond today, apprehending an individual in possession of 20,000 Yaba tablets.
