On 12 June, Karimganj Police launched an operation in Badarpur from where they seized 2,20,000 Yaba Tablet seized. They also arrested to drug peddler in connection of it.
Based on secret information, Karimganj police team led by SP Partha Pratim Das and IGP Partha Sarothi launched an operation in the area of Lamajuar, Karimganj. In this area Police intercepted a Bolero Vehicle and recovered 2 Lakh 20 thousand from hidden chamber of the vehicle. According to Police the value of seized items would be Rs. 66 Crore.
It this operation police arrested three individual in connection of it. The arrested drug peddler, identified as Khoyrul Hussain, Mamun Mia and Nobir Hussain all are the residential of Tripura.
The police said that the car has come from Mizoram. The drugs have recovered from vehicle Back light chamber. They modified the light and keep the drugs into that. They seized the illegal with three people. The vehicle does not have any number as it is a brand-new vehicle.
The arrested person has taken to Badarpur Police station for interrogation. Further investigation is going on to know whether who is master mind behind the incident.
