Reliance Jio users across India experienced a major service outage on Monday afternoon. Many faced issues with mobile internet, JioFiber, and voice calls.
According to Downdetector,
- 54% of complaints were about mobile internet,
- 27% were about JioFiber,
- and 19% were related to mobile signal problems.
The outage affected users in major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Kochi, and Chandigarh.
Kerala Users Faces Jio Internet Down
Thousands of Jio customers in Kerala faced major issues with mobile data, signal reception, and Jio Fiber on June 16, 2025 afternoon. The first signs of the network problem appeared at around 1:30 pm, when about 200 users reported trouble connecting to Jio’s network. At around 2:14 pm 11,695 users reports connection trouble issue. Most users faced issues with mobile internet, making up 56% of the reports. Additionally, 29% experienced poor mobile network signal, while 15% had trouble with Jio Fiber services.
Downdetector also saw a big spike in user complaints — much higher than usual. However, Reliance Jio has not yet given any official reason for the disruption.
What Should You Do If You’re Affected?
While it’s likely the issue is on Jio’s end, users can try basic steps:
- Restart your phone or router
- Switch Airplane Mode on and off
- Try manually selecting the Jio network from mobile settings
Unfortunately, these steps may not help until the company resolves the core issue.

Users Flood Social Media With Complaints for Jio Network Down
A Jio users stated, “Jio network down aano enikk 5 minutes aayi signal kittunnilla.”
Another user, “Jio’s down in Kerala. Is it just me, or are you guys having the same problem?”
Another user, “Utterly deplorable service, @JioCare! JioFiber down since May 25—shameful neglect! No engineer, no updates, just pathetic excuses. Fix this outrageous issue NOW or refund my money! Disgusting experience!”
Other stated, “#Jio network is down. Using only one SIM, especially Jio, is like driving through a high-range area without a stepney.”
Many frustrated users shared their experiences on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). Jiocustomers in Kerala were among those hit hardest, reporting trouble in accessing both mobile and broadband services.
