In the tragic aviation incident, all 7 people on board of an air ambulance die after it crash in Jharkhand while heading to Delhi. The accident has rocked officials and residents alike, raising fresh concerns about the safety of medical evacuation flights.

The aircraft, operated by Redbird Airways Pvt Ltd, had taken off from Ranchi Airport earlier in the day. According to the early reports, the air ambulance was on a medical transfer mission to Delhi when it ran into trouble mid-flight.

Rescue teams faced challenging conditions while reaching the wreckage.

Authorities later confirmed that all seven individuals on board the air ambulance die in the crash. The victims included the pilot, co-pilot, medical staff and the patient on board. Identification of the deceased and notification of families are currently underway.

Senior aviation officials have called for a thorough investigation into the accident. Experts will review the aircraft’s flight data, maintenance history, weather conditions and pilot’s communication to determine what caused the crash.

Meanwhile, authorities in both Jharkhand and Delhi have expressed condolence to the families of those who died in the tragedy. More updates are likely as the probe moves forward and verifies details emerge.

Officials subsequently confirmed that all seven individuals on board the ill-fated aircraft died in the crash. Official also quoting Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO)  Shubham Khandelwal, said there were no survivors in the Jharkhand air ambulance crash.

  • Archana Devi (Sanjay Kumar’s wife)
  • Dhruv Kumar (Relative)

Rs 8 Lakh Loan for Air Ambulance

In a heartbreaking detail, Sanjay Kumar’s family had reportedly taken loan of Rs 8 lakh to arrange the air ambulance. Reports said the family also borrowed money from relatives and friends to meet the rising medical expenses, highlighting the financial strain behind the emergency transfer.

Inclement Weather May have Led to Crash

Local residents said the area was witnessing heavy rain accompanied by highlighting the thunder around the time of the crash, which may have contributed to the accident.

According to the reports by NDTV, villagers heard a loud explosion-like sound during the storm as the aircraft went down in the forested area of Chatra District.

Reports also indicated that the India Metorological Department (IMD) had issued alerts for rainfall and lightning in the region.
