On 19 May A helicopter carrying Iran President Ebrahim Raisi and foreign has crashed when it was crossing terrain in heavy fog, an Iranian told Reuters. Today the officials confirmed that President has died in this helicopter crash. With him foreign minister and those was in the helicopter they also died in this accident.
Iranian state media confirmed that No survivors found after the crash which was carrying President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossin Amirabdollhian and other senior officials.
On Sunday the helicopters crashed in Jolfa in the mountainous northwestern region of the country. The incident occurred while Raisi and his entourage were returning from their visit to Iran’s border with Azerbaijan.
After hours of searching through mountainous terrain in inclement weather, rescue teams located the crashed helicopter. “President Raisi’s helicopter completely burned in the crash,” an official told Reuters news agency.

Ebrahim Raisi age was 63 at the time of death. He elected as the president in 2021 on his second attempt. Since taking office he has tightening of morality laws. overseen a violent crackdown on anti-government protests, and aggressively pursued nuclear negotiations with world powers.
