Today, IMD Guwahati has issued the Alert through Sachet App. The district of Assam which are under IMD orange alert are: Cachar, Dima Hasao, Hailakandi and Sribhumi.
As per Sachet App, “IMD Guwahati has issued forecast for Thunderstorm with Lightning with surface wind and light to moderate rain which is very likely to occur at isolated places over Cachar, Dima Hasao, Hailakandi and Sribhumi in next 3 hours. Eastern West Kashi Hills, East Garo Hills, East Janita Hills, East Kashi Hills, South West Khasi Hills, West Garo Hills, West Janita Hills, West Khasi Hills District are under Orange Alert. Be alert on this place as these plays are hilly areas and may cause land slides.
The Alert was issued at 1:00 PM. Moderate to heavy rain is very likely to occur at most places over the mentioned places in next three hours.
