Hyderabad Chemical Factory Blast: On Monday, a Chemical Factory in Hyderabad, Telangana explosion caused fire, in which 10 people reported dead as of now and at least 28 injured. The explosion took place at the Sigachi Chemical Industry in Pashamylaram.

Telangana Fire Officials stated that, “The incident took place at Sigachi Pharma Company, Pasamailaram Phase 1. Eleven fire tenders have reached the site. Nearly 15-20 people have been injured. Further details awaited.”

Rescue operation is going on at the Hyderabad Chemical factory blast.

According to reports, five died on the spot, while three others passed away at hospitals. Among the deceased at a private hospital were Abhishek Kumar from Bihar and Nagarjit Tiwari from Odisha.

At the time of the blast, 66 workers was present in the factory. Several injured people were taken to various hospital.

The blast caused massive destruction — the factory’s manufacturing unit collapsed, and fire spread to a nearby building. Eye-witnesses said the explosion was so powerful that some workers were thrown into the air and landed several meters away.

In the factory migrant’s worker from Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and other states were employed.

Rescue teams, including the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA), police, and revenue officials, were on the scene. Earthmovers were used to clear the debris, and at least one worker was pulled out alive and taken to the hospital.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the incident. He stated, “Anguished by the loss of lives due to a fire tragedy at a factory in Sangareddy, Telangana. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon.”

PM Announced Ex-Gratia

An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed deep sorrow over the incident and instructed officials to carry out swift rescue operations and provide the best medical care to the injured.

The exact cause of Chemical Factory blast is not known. While the officials have stated that the incident may have been caused by a reactor blast.

Further investigation is going on.
