The wait for HS Results in Assam is almost over. However, students may need a little more patience. The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) is expected to announce the Class 12 results soon. Still, the declaration will not happen immediately, as earlier rumours suggested.
State Education Minister Ranoj Pegu recently addressed the confusion. He clearly stated that reports about an instant result release were false. In a post on X, he said the results would not be declared the next day and called such claims rumours. This clarification has brought some relief and clarity for students and parents.
Meanwhile, official confirmation of the date is still pending. Usually, the announcement comes from the Chief Minister and the education minister through their social media handles. So far, no such update has been shared. However, a fresh notification indicates that the HS Results will be declared only after April 21.
How to Check AHSEC Class 12 Results
Once released, students can easily check their results online. They need to visit official websites such as ahsec.assam.gov.in, resultsassam.nic.in, or digilocker.gov.in.

Authorities have advised students to keep their login details ready. This will help avoid last-minute issues and delays.
This year, a total of 3,30,744 students appeared for the HS final exams. The exams took place from February 11 to March 16 across 821 centres in Assam.
Looking back, last year’s results were declared on April 30. The overall pass percentage stood at 81.77%. Therefore, a similar timeline is expected this year as well.
In conclusion, students should stay alert and rely only on official updates. The result is near, but not immediate.
