A shocking and disturbing incident took place in the day of Panchayat Election in Hailakandi, Assam on May 2. A woman in Hailakandi was gang raped by three man when she was returning to home after vote in E-Rickshaw.
According to reports, the incident took place Narshingpur Tea Estate area in Hailakandi. After voting the victim woman returning home via. e-rickshaw from Gaglachera to Dhowarbondh. Three man were also on board, taking the advantage of the situation and committed the horrific assault.
Following the henious crime, the family of the victim logged complained at the Kalachera Police Outpost in Hailakandi. The Hailakandi police immediately launched an investigation and arrest two man, while another man is on run. Police has launched search operation to catch the accused.
The arrested accused man identified as Krishna Rabi Das and Munna Kairi.
Further investigation is going on.
The victim woman is currently receiving treatment in Santosh Kumar Roy Civil Hospital in Hailakandi.
