A Firing incident took place in Karimganj. On Monday afternoon, land dispute took place in Karimganj which turn violence resulting in gun firing between the two families. At least four individuals sustained injuries during the clash.
The injured individual were immediately rushed to the Nilam Bazaar Primary Health Center. Due to critical condition of the injured the Doctor transported them to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for urgent medical treatment. The Karimganj Police have taken swift action and arrest those people who involved in the gunfire.
The two families who involved in the clash identified Khairul Islam family and Arif Uddin family.
Earlier, on Sunday, the family of Khairul Islam had filed a police report regarding the contested land, exacerbating tensions between the two parties. Next day the violence erupted. The incident occurred in the Balia area of Nilambazar in Karimganj. In this incident multiple individuals have sustained severe injuries, including women and children.

The four injured individual in the incident identified as Abdul Kalam, Hasan Ahmad, Mushan Ahmad, and Shafia Begum. They are currently receiving medical treatment at Silchar Medical College and Hospital.
During an interview with our correspondent, a member of the injured family described the incident as a “guerrilla attack.” According to their account, the attack occurred as individuals were leaving Khairul Islam’s house, and they were suddenly assaulted by Arif Uddin and his associates. The altercation took place outside the house on the west side of the property. The assailants involved were identified as Arif, Khala, Hussain, and another individual. As a result of the shooting, four individuals, including the speaker, sustained injuries.
Nilambazar Police are actively investigating the case, seeking to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the violence and bring the perpetrators to justice.
