The tech giant Google Doodle today pays tribute to the late Bollywood iconic playback singer KK, Krishnakumar Kunnath. As on this day (October 25), 1996, KK debuted as a playback singer on the song, Chhod Aaye Hum, of the film Maachis.

He has made his debut as a Hindi Cinema playback singer on 1999 with the song Tadap Tadap from the Hindi film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. KK is recognized as Indiaโ€™s brightest and most talented playback singers in history.

KK was born to Malayali parents on 23 August 1968 in Delhi. He attended Delhiโ€™s Mount St Maryโ€™s School and Kirori Mal College, Delhi University.

He had released his first album in the year 1999 and each song of the album was a massive hit and propelled him into the limelight. KK found even more success, as he sang 3,500 jingles in 11 languages.

Through his career, he sang over 500 songs in Hindi and more than 200 in Telugu, Bengali, Kannada, and Malayalam. KK received 2 Star Screen Award and six Filmfare Award nominations for his works.

His statue was raised in Kolkata, where he performed last concert in remembering the most talented singer.

In the 2022, June the legend passed away at the age of 53 years, due to cardiac arrest in Kolkata hour after performance at Nazrul Mancha.
