Four youth arrested in Cachar for allegedly attempt to raped a minor girl on Sunday evening in Cachar district of Assam.
A henious crime has taken place in Cachar, where a 17 years old girl has allegedly gang raped by four local youth. However, the locals residents rushed to the spot when they heard the screams of the girl. The locals than caught all the four accused on the spot.
Local residents handed the suspects over to the police after giving them a trashing.
The incident occurred in the Kanchanpur area of Cachar on June 20. According to FIR, the minor girl went to the nearby jungle to collect fire wood, where four men approached her. Taking advantage of the isolation area, the men began to touch inappropriately and attempt to molest her.
When the girl began to scream the nearby local people rushed at the spot and rescued her.
The arrested youth identified as Khairul Uddin, Rafique Ahemed, Sahid Ahmed and Samsul Alam.
The victims family has filed a formal complaint at the National High Way Point Police Outpost in Silchar.
