A tragic road accident took place on Silchar-Kalain Road, near Ranighat, where five people died on spot, including two women on Monday. This people were travelling in an Auto rickshaw.
According to information, on November 11, an auto rickshaw with 4 passenger and a driver collide head-on with a Bolero pick-up vehicle near Bhairabnagar, Ranighat. The collision was so severe that the victim’s bodies were found spread out. Four passengers and driver of autorickshaw died on spot after the accident.
The Bolero, was heading towards Kalain from Silchar, when the road accident took place.
The four passenger were from one family. The deceased identified as father Zakir Hussain (50), mother Rezia Begum (45), daughter Rehana Begum (21), and son Amir Hussain (25).
Hifzur Rahman, the former Gram Panchayat President of Bhairabnagar, Arrived at the accident scene immediately after receiving about the information of the accident.
Following the accident, a large crowed gathered at the scene and block the road of the accident area. Some individuals seen recording the tragic scene after the accident.
Cachar Police SP Numal Mahatta along with a team have arrived at the accident spot. They cleared the crowd on the road.
The police launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. They also called the ambulance and recovered and sent the dead body Silchar Medical College and Hospital.
After postmortem the dead body took to house. No family members left to receive the body, the accident was so devastating. Itโ heartbreaking that Rehana Begum was supposed to be married on November 28.
Amir Hussain, 25, leaves behind a 5-month-old child. Two other sons of Zakir Hussain and Rezia Begum, who were in Chennai, have left for Silchar Airport after hearing this tragic news. The funeral for the four family members scheduled for this evening, November 12, at 4 p.m.
