A tragic road accident took place in Bongaigaon, where a man and his daughter died on November 22. The accident unfolded on National High Way 17.
According the reports, the man was on his way to drop hie daughter to school in Bahalpur, Bongaigaon by his bike. On their way met with accident, due to the reckless driving of the bus, which reportedly caused the collision.
The deceased identified as Nasir Ahmed, who was a teacher by profession and his daughter Shanaz Ahmed.
This road accident sparked tension in the region, locals blocked the highway to stage a protest.
In their anger, protesters set the bus involved in the accident on fire, escalating tensions in the area.
