A shocking incident took place in Silchar, where a drunk man was caught on camera allegedly misbehaving with a woman inside an auto-rickshaw in the Tarapur area. The incident has gone viral on social media, which sparked widespread anger and renewed concerns about the women’s safety during public commutes.
The video was recorded by Sanchari Bhattacharjee, a school teacher, who was one of two women traveling in the auto at the time. As per her account, the two had boarded the rickshaw from India Club point in Tarapur, heading toward Ramnagar, where Sanchari’s school is located.
Despite this, the man continued his disturbing behavior. Taking advantage of the bumpy condition of the road, he allegedly leaned backward from the front seat and tried to inappropriately touch the female passenger sitting behind him.
Before the women could react, the man quickly exited the auto and fled the scene.
