The Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) on Friday evening conducted surprise raid in Income Tax Office in Silchar, Cachar. They also detained two employed.
The CBI raid in Silchar was carried out at the Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax, which is located within the GST office at the junction of Circuit House Road and PWD Road. A team CBI from Shillong arrived at Silchar and launched an operation at around afternoon time in Income Tax Office.
Two employees were taken into custody, but the reason behind it is not known.
