In a joint operation of Cachar Police, ARFIU and Assam Rifles, Rs 3.5 Crore worth Heroin along with Pistols seized in Sonai’s Smitnagar Forest village on May 26, late night.
Based on Secret inputs, Cachar polie, ARFIU and Assam rifles launched an operation in Sonai’s Smitnagar Forest village. There police intercepted a passenger auto and caught two individuals. But one of them managed to escapes. Police also recovered 56 soap cases containing 648g heroin worth ₹3.5 crore. One pistols with two magazine and ammunition recovered from the arrested person.
The arrested person is from Lakhipur, Cachar.
Further investigation is going on.
