Cachar police on January 26, night seized a huge number of drugs and arrested a youth in connection of it, in Sonai area.
Based on tip off, police launched an operation in the area of Sonai, Cachar, Assam. In this operation police arrest a man with 5 soap boxes of heroin on Sonai-Lakhipur Road.
The arrested man identified as Sahaj Uddin Laskar, known as Bapon Hussain of Sonai. Police recovered 5 soap cases heroin containing 198 grams. Cachar police also seized scooty used to transport the seized items.
Further investigation is going on.
On Monday morning, A father and his minor son has caught red-handed by locals, allegedly selling drugs in Bhaga Bazar.
According to eyewitness, the father was selling the drugs by hiding it in small plastics container in his son pocket. Suspicious of it, some locals checked the sons pocket and discovered the concealed container. Outrages of it, a group of people beating them.
However, somehow father managed to flee from the scene through by his scooty and the son taking the advantage of distraction fled from the scene.
Police arrived at the spot following the reports of the incident. Locals handed over nine container, which was recovered from the accused son’s pocket. Police have launched an manhunt to arrest the father and the son.
