Cachar Police continue their crackdown on War against drugs in Cachar District. On 31 March Cachar Police successfully arrested a suspected drug peddler and seized a huge amount of Yaba tablet.
Based on secret information, on Sunday night Cachar police launched an operation in the area of Uttar Lalpani, Cachar, near Girighat police station. There Cachar Police successfully arrest a drug peddler and recovered and seized 10,000 Yaba Tablet.
The arrested drug peddler identified Hilal Uddin Barbhuiya. According to Cachar Police the seized Yaba Tablets estimate value would be 1 Crore rupees.
Further Investigation is going on. Cachar Police is now interrogating the arrested drug peddler for further information.

Earlier on 30 March 2024 Cachar Police conducted a successful operation in the evening, at the Manipuri Market, Islamabad, Bagha Bazaar, under the jurisdiction of Dholai Police Station.
There Cachar Police arrested two suspects and seized a huge amount of suspected heroin from the area. The estimated value of the seized narcotics in the black market would be two crores.The accused individuals, are residents of Cachar. They were allegedly transporting the illegal substance from Aizawl the capital of Mizoram.
These operations demonstrate the continued efforts of Cachar Police to combat drug trafficking and illegal substance abuse in the region.
