Cachar Police seized a huge amount drug worth 4.5 crore from two different location of Cachar. Two arrested in two different places.
Based on inputs, Cachar police intercepted a vehicle coming from Manipur in Jirighat. From the vehicle police recovered and seized 10,000 Yaba Tablets. One arrested, identified as Maidul Islam. The market value of the seized items would be Rs 3 Crore.
In another location, Cachar police intercepted a scooty in the area of Chota Manda, Lakhipur, Cachar. From the scooty police recovered 17 soap cases containing 215g of suspected heroin. The market value of suspected heroin would be Rs 1.5 crore. One person arrested.
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma stated, “Drugs Worth ₹4.5 crore Recovered In two separate anti-narcotics operations carried out by @cacharpolice: 215g of suspected heroin worth ₹1.5 crore was seized at Chota Manda, Lakhipur; One person arrested. 10,000 YABA tablets worth ₹3 crore were seized at Jirighat; One person arrested. Further investigation is going on.
